Taylor’s house was impeccably clean and well equipped with everything we needed and then some! We had such a relaxing and comfortable weekend, we didn’t want to leave! The views from anywhere in the house were just beautiful. The pond is mesmerizing especially at sunset. Taylor’s recommendations for local restaurants were spot on and lucky for me, because I love to cook, the kitchen has EVERYTHING you could need. We didn’t get to do the hiking we had wanted to because it rained but we found a few antique stores to explore in Alton and Wolfeboro, and honestly just loved being at the house. Taylor was responsive when I had a question but was also proactive in providing information and recommendations, which made our stay feel effortless. This place is a real gem and we can’t wait to go back!

A gorgeous home in a gorgeous location! Taylor was always quickly responsive, and I love that he managed to get the dock back in the water just 2 days before our arrival, since it was so early in the spring season!! The home itself is somehow even more stunning in person, where the views and tranquil setting were way beyond what we had anticipated. Although the space inside the home, amenities provided, and activities available at the house and surrounding areas would have won over our children immensely…it served as a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I to relax, enjoy each others company, eat some amazing food at great local restaurants and watch gorgeous sunrises and sunsets from the dock, deck, couch, bedroom, just about anywhere! We will certainly be booking another getaway in one of Taylor’s many beautiful locations in the future! Thank you Taylor for your help in creating some wonderful core memories within our family ♥️

Getting around — Driving is the primary option; roads are rural (Route 28 is the main corridor connecting Barnstead to Laconia and Alton). Nearest full-service towns for shopping and dining are Alton (~15–20 minutes) and Concord, Laconia, Gilford, Tilton, and Rochester (~25–30 minutes). Public transit is minimal—no local bus network; regional bus or shuttle services require travel to larger hubs. Walking and biking are practical for short local trips around ponds, but most guests will need a car. Seasonal services (rideshares, taxis) are limited; plan ahead for pickups or rentals.
